Voice All-Stars Contestant Sings ‘Goodness Of God’ During Live Rounds
One contestant on The Voice turned in a stunning and moving rendition of a beloved gospel favorite about the righteousness and faithfulness of the Lord.
Life is an experience often filled with hurt, heartache and struggles. No one’s life is perfect, far from it. Everyone has needs, wants and desires they hope are met and answered promptly. However, if more people would take a few steps back and look at all that the Lord has already provided in life, they would notice the goodness of God.
A clip posted on YouTube shows a young man during the live rounds of The Voice All Stars in Indonesia singing the “Goodness of God.”
Approximately 1 minute, and 30 seconds into the clip, Abraham and several background singers walk out onto the stage. They are wearing choir-type robes while carrying lanterns as they sing the song’s memorable chorus.
The background singers soon disperse as Abraham emerges belting out the song’s first verse. The lyrics in the first verse mention how God has never failed. He has always provided protection and guidance.
“For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head”
God, as the lyrics in the second verse state, has never left our side in our time of need. He has gone through the darkness and the fire with us, staying close like no other. God is still faithful even in those times of great stress, discomfort and anxiety. He remains in control and at work.
Because of God’s faithfulness, mercy and goodness, He deserves all praise, honor and glory. The song rightly states, “I will sing of the goodness of God.”
Psalm 31:19 “O how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have worked for them that trust in you before the sons of men!”
