Hilarious Audition of The World’s Best, Worst Magician

Magic and magicians, no matter how impressive they may be, are all about deception and misdirection. Likely, if we happened to find out how a magician was able to pull off his trick, we wouldn’t be impressed at all. We’d probably laugh at how bad of a trick it was and be upset with ourselves for falling for it. One contestant on a popular TV show ran with that idea and it made for a hilarious act.

Tahir is described as the “world’s best worst magician.” His funny antics impressed as well as left the judges and the audience in hysterics on Australia’s Got Talent.

He begins his act by mocking the odd, weird movements that we’ve all seen magicians do during their acts. While oddly waving his hands in a circle, he says, “magicians, with their big over-the-top moves.”

Tahir quickly moves into his first trick, which involves a white ping-pong ball and his hands. It’s a trick we’ve all seen done many times before. He starts by grabbing the ball with one hand and then it vanishes, seemingly out of the air. But seconds later, Tahir tosses the ball away, in full sight, with his other hand.

The judges and audience respond with a mixture of laughter and applause.

His next “trick”, using a CD, is so dumb that it’s actually pretty good and very, very funny.

As he begins performing his final trick, Tahir, once again, hilariously mocks something that we’ve all heard magicians say as part of their shows.

“Look at this. This is now the big finish. Most magicians say that so you know when to clap the loudest at the end of the show,” he said.

In the end, Tahir’s act is much more about the laughs and the comedy than it is about magic. But that’s OK because he’s pretty funny!

Luke 6:21 “Blessed are you that hunger now: for you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: for you shall laugh.”

We all have those dark, lifeless places where we think nothing good can happen. As we grieve these areas of life, may we, like Hannah, turn to the Lord in prayer.
