Two talented, award-winning singers treated a studio audience to a dazzling, impromptu duet of a beloved song. 

God has blessed everyone with different skills, talents and abilities. Others may have more than others, but we’re all uniquely created for a specific purpose. God doesn’t make mistakes. He expects us to use those talents to bring glory, honor and praise to His name. 

Tori Kelly and Jennifer Hudson are two musically talented women. Both are terrific and Grammy Award-winning singers blessed with the voices of angels. During an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show, Tori and Jennifer showed off those beautiful, God-given voices in an unexpected performance of Leonard Cohen’s 1984 classic “Hallelujah.”

Tori kicks the song off, while sitting on the couch, and sings the beloved tune’s last verse. She proceeds to sing the first three lines of that verse. It’s then Jennifer’s turn. She then steps in and displays her magnificent pipes as she belts out the last three lines of the verse.

The two vocalists finish their spur-of-the-moment performance by crooning the track’s simple, but yet memorable chorus together. They repeatedly sing “hallelujah.”

At one point, during their brief performance, Tori and Jennifer almost appear to be competing, with one trying to outdo the other. Their performance starts with both sitting on the couch, but soon Tori stands up and is quickly followed by Jennifer. They then go back and forth, belting out “hallelujah,” the next one louder than the one before it.

Tori and Jennifer’s performance ends with the singers sharing a warm and loving embrace. The studio audience, who loved what they were privileged enough to have witnessed, responds by giving Tori and Jennifer a thunderous round of applause.

Jennifer and Tori have been abundantly blessed with musical talents. It’s always a delight to hear these two ladies sing anything!
