Making a healthy smoothie

These are some of the typical types of ingredients I put into my daily smoothies. I may mix up the fruit or veggies (for instance, frozen grapes or banana instead of mango and apples- or kale instead of spinach) but the base is usually the same. Some kind of probiotic (kefir, yogurt), some kind of liquid (almond milk, coconut milk or real cows milk), some kind of veggie, fruit and the various powders/add-ins. Play around with it and remember to not add too much sugar... and enough protein to help you build muscle after a workout. Another thing you can add is coconut oil or flaxseed if you are looking to increase your Omega 3 fatty acids. You can also add Cod Liver Oil if you have some- because the taste is concealed in all the fruit. Try it!
