'Gigi and Nate' Shares The Amazing Bond Between a Paralyzed Man and His Unusual Service Animal - Movies

Some people have very special relationships with their pets. In this trailer, “Gigi & Nate'' shares the amazing bond between a paralyzed man and his unusual service animal.

In this heartwarming film, we see a young man looking at a fun-loving monkey. He says, “Hi Gigi!” The family jokes around as we see Nate, who is in a wheelchair, being introduced to his service animal. 

He shares that his name is Nate Gibson and he was only 18 years old when he jumped off a cliff near a waterfall and became paralyzed. His mom decides to request a service animal for Nate, whose spirits have understandably fallen. Suddenly the animal appears, and it is to their surprise, a monkey. 

Gigi takes a while to warm up, but when Nate is doing his physical therapy and cries in pain, she runs to his rescue, helps him, and then comforts him. It is precious. 

As “Brighter Days,” by Blessing Offor plays in the background, the emotions run high. One sister gets upset about the monkey in the house only to get poop thrown in her face as the others laugh. 

Nate begins to get out and around in his community and even meets a sweet girl. He begins to trend online. Suddenly a wrench is thrown in the plan when people complain about him having a monkey. There is a scene where the sweet little monkey holds Nate’s hand. 

God can surprise us with His provision in unique ways. This movie inspires us that we do not need to give up hope. There can be joy found in the midst of sorrowful situations.
