High School Choir Sings Classic Hymn 'Abide With Me'

Listen to the classic hymn ‘Abide With Me’ beautifully performed by a high school choir in British Columbia, Canada.

“Abide with me, fast falls the eventide, the darkness deepens Lord, with me abide
When other helpers fail and comforts flee, help of the helpless, oh, abide with me
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day, earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away
Change and decay in all around I see, O Thou who changest not, abide with me”

What a phenomenal music video! The young women in the video are from Fountainview Academy, which is a Christian high school based in southern British Columbia, Canada.

All three of them have such beautiful voices, and they are singing in such a stunning setting. Their harmonies are wonderful, and it is heavenly to listen to their voices blend together. As the music video progresses, the young women walk towards a group of musicians playing next to them on the side of the mountain. The whole production is amazing and uplifting, and it is great to see these students using their gift to bring God glory.

"The music, the singing, the scenery -- all beautiful,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video.

“Truly beautiful. You three lovely young ladies with the musicians nailed it. Thank you and many blessings,” writes another person online.

The song ‘Abide With Me’ is a Christian hymn by Scottish Anglican Henry Francis Lyte. He wrote it in 1847 as he was dying from tuberculosis, and the words are a prayer to God to stay with the speaker throughout life and in death. It is most often sung to the tune ‘Eventide’ by the English organist William Henry Monk.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this high school choir’s rendition of ‘Abide With Me’ and it was able to uplift you today!
