Joyce Meyer Reminds Us Of God's Amazing Grace In Powerful Sermon

Pull up a chair and take notes. Joyce Meyer reminds us of God’s amazing grace in a powerful sermon she affectionately calls, “God’s Arithmetic.”

Don’t worry, you won’t need to do long division or multiplication. You simply need to open your heart to what God is telling you if you happened to catch this sermon.

The foundation for this sermon is based on Proverbs 3:5-6, where God reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Seems simple enough, right? Yet, we all have found ourselves in situations where we are trying to figure out every last detail. We’re stressed, we’re worried, and we try to control as much as we can because we lean heavily on logic and reason.

Joyce said, “You know, we tend to like logic and reason. It's pretty amazing how much time we all spend trying to figure things out.  And I can actually say that there was a time in my life, probably many years, when I would say that I was actually addicted to reasoning.”

She goes on to explain, “And what I mean by that was, when I had a problem, I could not settle down and have any peace until I thought I had it all figured out. And many times, I found out later that I thought I had it figured out, but I didn't have it figured out after all. And the Bible tells us to lean not to your own understanding.”

Wow! Does anyone else feel like Joyce’s message is just what your heart and mind needed? She goes on to remind us of God’s grace. She said, “Grace is God's riches at Christ's expense.” Joyce added, “Because grace is God doing good, wonderful, amazing things for people who don't deserve it.”

That thought is humbling. None of us deserve grace, yet God gave it to us through Christ, taking every sin ever committed to the cross. We hope this message is insightful and uplifting for you today! Share it with someone who needs to trust in our mighty God.
