Children From All Around The Globe Sing “On Top Of The World”

Enjoy a feast for the eyes and a treat for the ears with this video of children from all around the globe as they sing “On Top Of The World.” It is truly a delight!

The video begins with one young lady singing in a wheat field. The first words of the song by Imagine Dragons are as follows:

I'm on top of the world, 'ey
Waiting on this for a while now
Paying my dues to the dirt
I've been waiting to smile, 'ey

A second girl sings from a similar prairie location, where purple flowers grow. Their voices are lovely—angelic in sound and spirit. A third beauty appears on screen, but she is singing in Washington, D.C., with the Washington Monument in the background.

Next, the screen fills with the faces of five different kids singing from various locales. There is a blondie from Seattle and a cutie in glasses in Philadelphia. The handsome boy in the middle sings from a mountain range somewhere in the world, as does the little lady that soon replaces him in the soloist position.

The kids are adorable! There is a pair of siblings, a girl in a headscarf, and a few singing from the water’s edge. And, at 1:12, we see the most beautiful collection of young faces singing together in a large group from one of God’s glorious vistas!

There are young ones and teens, all dancing, bouncing, and swaying to the music. And they are on top of the world!

At 1:38, the video returns to individual singers sharing the screen. There are capitol buildings and castles, sculptures and Ferris wheels, and precious kids practicing dance moves.

The images and faces come rapidly as children from all over the world sing joyfully separately and together. The video returns to the large group before a montage presents the countries represented in the project by One Voice Children’s Choir

A part of One Voice Children, OVCC came together for One Voice International 2022, and the  finished song and video were created by mixing and merging hundreds of at-home self-recorded audio tracks. What a wonderful endeavor for the kids; the comments indicate how meaningful it was for those who participated. But, more importantly, what a wonderful gift to all those who just get to enjoy the finished product!

“I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.” Psalms 9:2
