Kelly Clarkson Duets With Unsuspecting Street Busker Before Concert

One of the biggest names in music, Kelly Clarkson, joined an unsuspecting street performing in Las Vegas by singing a hit from the late Tina Turner.

Life is a series of unexpected twists, turns and detours. From one day to the next, no one can adequately and entirely predict what will happen. Sure, everyone has free will and makes decisions and choices daily that will guide the direction of their life. But there are instances when events are out of our control, like the people we may encounter.

A video posted on social media shows what happened when a street performer in Las Vegas, Nevada, found herself unexpectedly singing with the original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson. The happy encounter started as Kelly was on her way to soundcheck before a concert in Sin City, according to the video’s caption.

The “Miss Independent” singer came across a woman singing “What’s Love Got to Do with It” on the side of the road in Las Vegas. In fact, Kelly writes that this performer was “killing” the song. So, because Kelly enjoyed what she was hearing so much she decided to tip her. But then that’s when something totally unexpected happened!

The street performer asked Kelly to join her, not knowing that she had just invited a Grammy Award-winning musician to sing a duet with her.

The short, 30-second video begins with the host of The Kelly Clarkson Show singing the song’s memorable chorus. The other woman, who still remains completely oblivious to the identity of her singing partner, claps and dances around a few feet away from Kelly.

Kelly then takes a step or two toward the street musician, and it quickly dawns on her. The woman singing a duet with her is one of the biggest names in music!

Kelly wrote that the woman’s surprised and overjoyed reaction to discovering her identity “made my day.”

The clip ends with the two women sharing a warm embrace.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”
