You've Never Heard 'Sweet Caroline' Performed This Way

You've never heard “Sweet Caroline” performed this way before. It is an incredibly interesting cover of the pop-rock classic song. Play the video to take a peek!

This "Sweet Caroline" cover has lyrics you’ll recognize, but it is in the style of 16th-century madrigal singers. The five-member group all sing in high voices that rise and fall, making room for each other. It almost sounds like a song you would hear in an old church…until you hear the lyrics and think, “Wait, what did I just hear?”

It is just an incredibly unique piece that sounds as pleasant as it is amusing. It is a brilliant arrangement, and it must have certainly been difficult to put together. And the group doesn’t need a single instrument to improve its a cappella style. It is evident that the group is very talented.

Some of the lyrics they sing are:

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would

Many Different Stars Have Covered Sweet Caroline

Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline" came out in 1969. Over the last several decades, many stars have covered it, including Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, and Jennifer Lopez, but this "Sweet Caroline" cover is probably the most unexpected of all of them.

If Neil Diamond could hear it, I bet he would be thrilled. Previously, he said he loved Frank Sinatra’s cover the most.

“He did it his way,” Neil said. “He didn’t cop my record at all. I’ve heard that song by a lot of people and there are a lot of good versions, but Sinatra’s swinging, big band version tops them all by far.”

No matter how it is sung, “Sweet Caroline” is almost impossible not to sing along to. It will always be a great song, and it was certainly a great choice by this singing group.
