You’ll Laugh at Dustin Nickerson’s Funny Reason for Giving Boomers a Pass
You’ll laugh at Dustin Nickerson’s funny reason for giving Boomers a pass. The popular comedian offers an insightful and hysterical justification for why he’s slow to judge and criticize people of an older generation. Watch the short but hilarious clip to hear why Dustin chooses to cut Baby Boomers some slack.
People today are constantly in a hurry. If we are made to wait any time at all, it’s already been too long. Many are usually huffing and puffing, frustrated by being made to wait. Of course, we have places to be and things to do, and not nearly enough time to accomplish everything on our to-do list.
Since people are always in a rush to go here, there and everywhere in between, many lack patience for those who move at a slower, more deliberate pace. Additionally, this hurried nature does not mix well when older individuals have issues with technology. Often, the people who tend to slow others down for one reason or another are Baby Boomers, or just Boomers, as they are commonly referred to today.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Dustin shared why he is much more likely to ease up on Baby Boomers when many aren’t likely to give them much or any grace. Why? Well, as he mentions, he and all of us are getting a little older every single day. He adds that we all have a little bit of Boomer in us, but he stipulates that it’s important not to go full Boomer.
“As I get older, I have less judgments towards Boomers, too,” he said. “Because I realize Boomer is not just a generation; it’s a state of mind. It’s in there, alright? We all got it. We all got a ‘Boomer tumor,’ and you got to keep an eye on it. You got to make sure it doesn’t grow into evil.”
He adds that we all have thoughts in which we look at those younger than us and make snap and faulty judgments.
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one make little of you because you are young, but be an example to the church in word, in behavior, in love, in faith, in holy living.”
