Family's 'He Will Carry You' A Cappella Rendition

The Kuykendall Family's “He Will Carry You” a cappella rendition absolutely delivers on every expectation. It’s well-arranged and very soothing. Play the video to let it touch your soul—I hope it does!

This "He Will Carry You" a cappella cover is sung with such tender care and love. It’s sung by a father and four of his sons, who all harmonize very well together. Each member has several (or many) years of experience, so the variety in their voices is great.

The family said of their cover, “We have been working on this song off and on for the last 3 years! Still not perfect but we had fun and hope it is a blessing to you!” And it certainly is a blessing.

Some of the lyrics the all-male ensemble sings are:

If He carried the weight of the world, upon His shoulders
I know, my brother, that He will carry you
If He carried the weight of the world, upon His shoulders
I know, my sister, that He will carry you

"He Will Carry You" is a modern hymn that Scott Wesley Brown wrote in 1982. It is not very well known today, but it is moving and remarkable nonetheless. I am very glad the Kuykendall family brought it to light in their "He Will Carry You" a cappella cover. Their performances never fail to be sincere and heartfelt.

The song itself is just a beautiful and thoughtful reminder that you don’t have to do anything on your own. God, the one who made you and knows you best, has your back. Your burdens aren’t so heavy when He is there to help you lift them.

“Though he should fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalm 37:24
