Without Jesus Christ, you and I would be completely and totally lost. We’d still be living in our sin and shame, without any hope or any future. We’d be staring down an eternity lost and entirely cut off from Him. While that may sound like a bleak and rather distressing scenario, that would have been the reality if Christ hadn’t willingly gone to, suffered and ultimately died upon the cross.
His death and resurrection provide hope to sinners and a future to the lost and directionless. Yes, He freely offers a life-changing and life-saving gift of forgiveness, but He does so much more than that. His love and grace also protect, guide and sustain us throughout our days on Earth. Whenever a situation feels overwhelming and unbearable, He remains by our side, going through it with us.
In a clip posted on YouTube, two little ones share wise and powerful words, explaining that they know and understand that Jesus Christ is with them always. No matter what they may be facing, both children are fully aware they are not alone.
“God is the king of everything,” the little boy states in the video’s opening moments.
“Even when we go on trips, they help us not be scared,” the young man states.
The little girl then says she has a tune she wants to sing. The song that follows is about building your house on the solid rock, and not on the sand, which will be washed away whenever life’s storms arrive.
As sweet as her musical number is, not everyone is a fan of her singing. At one point, the little boy covers his ears, an obvious sign that he wishes she would stop singing immediately.
Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old, he will not be turned away from it.”
