Covers are an age-old tradition and musical practice. It’s something that has been going on for so long that I’d venture a guess to say that it has been happening since the invention of music itself. Now, thanks to American Idol, America’s Got Talent and YouTube, I’d say that covers are more popular than they ever have been.

Covers are everywhere you look. If you cannot find a cover of a particular song, you are not looking nearly hard enough. The problem at this point is that we’re kind of drowning in covers, and only a handful ever break through and get attention. Those that do have to be really different and eye-catching, for one reason or another.

One clip posted on YouTube features a cover of “My Heart Will Go On,” but this one is unlike anyone you’ve ever heard before. It stands out so much because it is performed with rubber chickens, and it’s actually pretty fantastic. It’s safe to say that you will never forget this one.

Even if you are not a fan of the original song from Céline Dion, it’s impossible to dislike this version. It’s so original, inventive and out there, completely unlike any other version that you’ve heard of this beloved tune.

Who thinks of such a thing? Who would have ever thought to play “My Heart Go On” on rubber chickens? But it may be a little strange, it’s bound to put a smile on your face.
