This Mom Tries to Extract Details From Teenage Son About His Day

This mom tried to extract details from her teenage son about his day. She asked question after question, trying to get him to tell her something, but he refused to play along. Watch the short, but hilarious clip to see how this mother desperately tried to have a conversation with her teenage son, but wasn’t very successful.

Communication is vital. Without proper, consistent and clear communication, things will fall apart, and that won’t be good for anyone. All relationships, whether they be between a boss and an employee, a tenant and a landlord or a romantic one, require communication. If there is no communication, then that relationship will start to deteriorate and eventually cease to exist.

Of course, achieving constant and consistent communication in a relationship is often much easier said than done. Parents of teenagers know this all too well. For communication to work as it should, both parties must participate. Teenagers are often not the most communicative or forthcoming people, particularly with their parents. Mom and Dad could ask them a series of questions, and their teenage son or daughter will most likely give them one or two-word answers, and that’s it.

A hilarious clip posted on YouTube recreates this all-too-relatable situation between parents and teens. A mother asked her teenage son a handful of questions, asking him about his day, trying to get something, anything from him. Being a typical teen, he doesn’t play along.

“How was school, buddy?” the mother asks, hoping to get some verbal response from her child.

“Fine,” the young man responds.

Hilariously, though, he considers and reflects on everything he did during the school day. Some of it is actually pretty interesting, but he gives her next to nothing. This pattern repeats itself throughout the short clip. She asks a question, and he doesn’t give her much, even though he is thinking about everything that happened that day.

This less-than-ideal communication style is one of the reasons why parenting teens will always remain a challenge.

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old enough, he will not be turned away from it.”
