When Faith Costs You Everything — Daniel 3

Welcome to Back to the Bible Daily with Braden Pedersen. In this episode, Braden walks through the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3, highlighting what it looks like to have faith when obedience comes at a real cost. Faced with pressure to conform and the threat of a fiery furnace, these men refused to compromise, choosing faithfulness over safety.

Be encouraged to stand firm in your faith, resist compromise, and trust God in every circumstance—even when the outcome is uncertain.

Read — Read Daniel 3:16–27 and notice the courage and conviction of these three men.

Reflect — Ask: Where am I feeling pressure to compromise my faith? What would it look like to trust God’s character over my desired outcome?

Respond — Father, give me courage to stand firm when faith costs something. Help me trust You not only for deliverance, but in the middle of difficulty. Strengthen my faith to rest in who You are. Amen.

Reveal — Share this story with someone who is facing pressure or uncertainty. Encourage them with the truth that God is present even in the fire and worthy of trust in every outcome.
