How Much Ordering Pizza Has Changed Since the ’90s, and You'll Be Cracking Up

How one orders a pizza has changed a lot since the 90s, and you’ll be cracking up. The process of requesting a delicious pizza pie has undergone a dramatic shift over the last couple of decades, that is for sure. Watch the short but hilarious clip to see just how much things have changed when doing something as simple and mundane as a pizza.

Technology is constantly undergoing changes. Nearly every single day, your iPhone alerts you about an update for this or that app. Or it’s Apple telling you there's a software update available for your phone and Mac. That familiar message continues by stating that your devices will be updated at night, or you can install those updates now if you’d like.

Those advancements are just what happens from one day to the next. Think about how much things have changed over the last 10, 20 and even 30 years. iPhones, iPads, tablets and gaming devices like the Nintendo Switch weren’t a thing 20 years ago. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, people once used a phone connected to the wall to talk to someone on the other end. Sounds absurd, almost prehistoric, doesn’t it?

Well, as it turns out, technological advancements don’t always mean improvements. In fact, sometimes they make simple things much more difficult, as a clip posted on YouTube hilariously points out.

The video begins with a woman sporting a questionable haircut flipping through a phone book until she lands on the correct number. She then places a call, talks to an actual human being, and places her order. She figures out the exact amount, mentions she wants her pizza delivered and gives less-than-specific directions to her house.

Flash forward to someone trying to place a pizza order on an app today, and her efforts are obstructed at every step. She quickly becomes frustrated, clearly showing that not all technological advancements are created equal.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
