Band’s Fantastic Cover of ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ Will Have You Singing Along
This band’s fantastic cover of “Don’t Stop Believin’” will have you singing along. You will, no doubt, listen to their excellent rendition of the Journey classic over and over again. Watch the short but delightful clip to hear their wonderful performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
If you’re a fan of musical covers, you are most certainly in luck. Covers of just about every song imaginable can be found – and heard – everywhere there is music. Places like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and many radio stations are full of covers. Heck, even many popular television programs are chock full of these musical covers. On shows like America’s Got Talent, American Idol and The Voice, nearly every musical performance, likely 99 percent of them, are covers.
Now, I enjoy a good cover just as much as the next guy. However, I can also admit when a song has been done to death, and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” is the tune that has been covered every which way imaginable by every band imaginable. We get it; it’s a classic and people like it, but aren’t there any other songs in the world?
Instinctively, whenever a band or a musician covers “Don’t Stop Believin’,” I immediately tune out, change the channel or switch to the next radio station. That is, unless it’s particularly good and offers something a little different than the other 10 million “Don’t Stop Believin’” covers we’ve all heard. A clip posted on YouTube does exactly that, with one band, The Haygoods, turning in an unbelievably enjoyable version of the beloved Journey classic.
While all the familiar lyrics remain the same in the band’s updated version, the sound is a little different, giving the tune a slightly unique and welcome feel. Not only that, but everyone in the band appears to be having the time of their life playing the song that all of us will now have stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
