'Always On My Mind' Cover From BGT Runner Up Connie Talbot

Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant, Connie Talbot, honors her late uncle with a special performance of ‘Always On My Mind.’

We first met Connie when she was just six years old. Connie auditioned for the very first season of Britain’s Got Talent back in 2007.

This sweet little girl won over the judges with her beautiful performance of ‘Over The Rainbow.’ Connie quickly became a fan favorite and made it all the way to the finals of the competition.

She came in second overall, losing to opera singer Paul Potts. Now, Connie is a seasoned performer at the age of twenty-one. She’s released multiple albums and toured all over the country.

Today, Connie isn’t on a grand stage but it might be one of her most memorable performances yet.

Connie is sitting at her piano and she’s singing a powerful rendition of ‘Always On My Mind’ by Willie Nelson.

“And maybe I didn't hold you all those lonely, lonely times
I guess I never told you, I am so happy that you're mine
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time”

On YouTube, Connie shared the story behind her cover of this iconic song. She wrote, “This song was a karaoke favourite of a very special person, my Uncle who sadly passed recently. So this one Is for you Rich.”

“You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind”

What a beautiful tribute from such a talented young lady.

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
