Thinking of others is one thing, but acting on those thoughts to encourage them is another. In this video, a doorbell camera captures a delivery driver’s reactions to gifts left on the front porch.

The first delivery man comes by the house and sees the snack basket. He is at first surprised and grabs a drink, looking at the camera he says, “thank you!” The next delivery comes by and the guy is so excited that he grabs a whole bunch of treats to take with him on his route.

A mailman comes and after putting down the family’s letters, he almost walks away but then notices the sweet gifts. He takes a drink on his way out. Another driver comes by and shows his gratitude for the surprise snacks by signaling the doorbell with his hand.

A pizza man delivers dinner and grabs a few things on his way out. The dad says, “thank you,” and the delivery guy yells back, “thank you.” The child so excitedly yells, “pizza!”

The way that this family decided to think of others when it would be easy only to think of themselves and their deliveries is inspiring. Think of what it is like for those who continued to work tirelessly and still do in the midst of the pandemic. Many times they are underappreciated and those who deliver packages go unnoticed.

This family encourages us to give credit where it is due and to honor those who are serving us in such ways. We can see those and give them recognition and share God’s love.
