A Cappella Men Of Home Free Perform 'God Bless The Broken Road'

The a cappella men of Home Free put a whole new spin on the country hit ‘God Bless The Broken Road.’ This iconic song was originally written in 1994, but it wasn’t until the trio of Rascal Flatts released their own rendition in 2004, that the song truly took off. It climbed to the top of the music charts and even won a Grammy award for Best Country Song.

“I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you”

Home Free is an American a cappella group that competed and won in the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. The members of the group are Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance. They’ve become viral sensations with their covers of hit songs such as ‘Ring Of Fire’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’

Today, the five men are giving ‘God Bless The Broken Road’ the a cappella treatment and it’s an incredibly performance.

“Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you”

On YouTube, the band wrote ‘We’ve always loved this emotionally charged Rascal Flatts song, so you know we had to put our own twist on it.”

There is so much emotion and love throughout this song, but it all comes back to God and His divine touch. What a beautiful sentiment.
