The Weaver Family Performs 'Days Of Elijah'
Check out The Weaver Family performing the song ‘Days of Elijah’ in this video.
“These are the days of Elijah, declaring the word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your servant Moses, righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial, of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying ‘prepare ye the way of the Lord!"
Behold He comes riding on the clouds, shining like the sun at the trumpet call,
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee, and out of Zion's hill salvation comes.”
Such an upbeat and uplifting song! The Weaver Family writes on their YouTube page about this event where multiple singing groups came together to join in a song of worship.
“Recorded live at Terre Hill Park, July 24, 2021. After a wonderful evening of singing, all the singing groups sang a few songs together,” they write.
The song ‘Days of Elijah’ was written by Robin Mark in 1994. On his website, Robin talks about how the song is “generally and principally a song of hope,” and he shares about the meaning behind the song.
“In prayer, I began asking God if He was really in control and what sort of days were we living in,” he said. “I felt in my spirit that He replied to my prayer by saying that indeed He was very much in control and that the days we were living in were special times when He would require Christians to be filled with integrity and to stand up for Him just like Elijah did, particularly with the prophets of Baal. These are 'Elijah' days. Elijah’s story is in the book of Kings, and you can read how he felt isolated and alone in the culture in which he lived. But God told him to stand up and speak for Him.”
Praise the Lord for the encouraging lyrics of the song ‘Days of Elijah,’ and we hope that you enjoyed listening to The Weaver Family sing them today!

Today's Devotional
A Prayer to Humbly Serve This Maundy Thursday - Your Daily Prayer - March 28
Would you let Jesus wash your feet? Isn't it hard to imagine lifting our dirty toes to the King of Kings? None of us are worthy of his care and attention; yet in Christ's perfect love, he gives us nothing less. Does your human heart struggle like mine to serve others humbly as Jesus did?
