Savanna, eager to keep in touch with her music friends, started a music social media account. Normally a shy and private teenager, she was nervous to sing her first song by herself, so she asked her dad to join her in singing ‘The Prayer.’ After that video went viral, Mat and Savanna continued releasing duets on social media and streaming platforms, quickly garnering a worldwide following.”
Now Mat and Savanna have come full circle – from singing ‘The Prayer’ in their first YouTube video, to now singing it on stage in front of a live audience. They share a little about this experience in the caption of this YouTube video.
“We wanted to share our live version of ‘The Prayer’ from our Christmas Concert at the Eccles theater! The energy and magic that happens when singing to a live audience is indescribable,” they wrote. “We feel so lucky and grateful to have been able to sing for and meet so many of you this Christmas season. Our prayer for you and for 2022 is that life will be kind. We pray that ‘every heart that’s broken will be mended.’ We hope that ‘we will remember we are all God’s children.’”
