‘You Will Be Found’ Natalie Grant Featuring Cory Asbury
Two talented singers perform a tune about fighting loneliness, getting help and finding a friend.
Life is not always a pleasant experience. In fact, it can be downright awful and seemingly unbearable at times. Situations and circumstances can lead to intense feelings of loneliness and inadequacy.
In the song “You Will be Found” performed by Natalie Grant and Cory Asbury, the two musicians sing about these times of great loneliness and finding a friend and the will to keep on going, to overcome.
The opening verse begins a series of questions. All the questions pertain to being alone and feeling like there are no avenues to seek help and refuge. Everyone has, without a doubt, felt this way at one time or another.
However, thankfully, the song is longer than the first verse. The second verse adds that when you are feeling down and depressed, simply “reach out your hand” and “someone will come running” in order to bring you home.
The song’s chorus, with its motivational message, instructs listeners to hold their heads up high and look around because, once again, “you will be found.”
“So let the sun come streaming in
‘Cause you’ll reach up and you’ll rise again
Lift your head and look around
You will be found”
The song’s visuals also match its lyrics. At the beginning of the video, the background, as well as the singers’ clothes are comprised of black, blues and other dark hues. However, by the end of the song, there is sunlight, hope and both singers are wearing brightly-colored clothes.
God is still at work even during times of loneliness and extreme despair. He still is in control and has a plan. Deuteronomy 31:6 informs readers that “he will not fail you, nor forsake you.”
This song has a terrific motivational message to encourage listeners to keep going and to continue fighting because there is help. God knows and understands whatever it is you may be facing and how you’re feeling.
1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.”
