One man found the most adorable surprise waiting for him on his boat. There was absolutely no way he could have expected to uncover some of the cutest kittens hiding on his water vessel. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see the moment he finds the kittens and how he responds to them.

People will use the word “cute” to describe many different things. It’s an adjective heard regularly in conversation. It is often used to express how someone feels about everything from baby clothes to small servings of food and even how someone decorates their house. One could argue, I believe correctly, that it’s one of the most overused words in the English language. Not everything can be cute, right?

Whatever your feelings on using the word “cute,” some things are just objectively cute. Of course, one instance in which cute is always appropriate is when describing kittens. Can you name anything more adorable and cuter than tiny, furry baby cats? I didn’t think so.

In a clip posted on social media, a man had his fishing outing disrupted when he came across some tiny, furry, four-legged stowaways. The four kittens, who, sadly, had their precious slumber interrupted, had managed to get themselves into a compartment on the man’s boat. From how they reacted to being found, they had no plans of leaving their spot either. They looked surprised, but not enough to try to get up and exit their makeshift, temporary home.

The kittens weren’t the only ones taken aback by their discovery on the boat. The fisherman reacted with much surprise as well.

“And he pulls up this little thing here, we got three or four little kittens in my boat,” he said. “So, I guess that’s all. We caught us some catfish. Look at the little kitty! He’s so cute!”
