Neal McDonough Gets Back in The Saddle in 'The Last Rodeo' Trailer
Neal McDonough gets back in the saddle in the trailer for the film, “The Last Rodeo.” The movie looks to be a powerful, gritty tale about family, confronting the past and putting everything on the line for the ones you love. Watch the short but powerful clip for a look at “The Last Rodeo.”
Life is full of twists, turns and detours. While we may plan and prepare for the future, life often has other things in mind. Situations and circumstances can change instantly, and all our plans immediately go out the window. What matters at that point is how we respond. What will we do next when things don’t go according to our plan?
“The Last Rodeo” is about what happens when life disrupts our plans and inserts uncertainty and chaos into the situation. In the film, Neal McDonough stars as Joe Wainwright, an esteemed but retired professional bull rider. Joe’s relationship with his daughter, Sally, is strained, to say the least.
As the trailer indicates, Joe’s profession seems to be a big reason for their troubled relationship. Sally informs her father that she doesn’t want her son, Cody, Joe’s grandson, to have anything to do with bull riding. The scars on Joe’s body reveal that his dangerous profession has taken a massive physical toll on him. Joe clearly has no plans to get back in the saddle, but as it often does, life has other plans.
After Cody suffers an injury on the baseball field, doctors make a startling and frightening discovery. The young man badly needs to undergo an expensive medical procedure, but the only way to pay for it is for Joe to get back on the horse and risk his health and safety in the process.
“The Last Rodeo” opens in theaters on May 23. According to IMDB, it’s rated PG for “thematic elements, language and violence.”
James 1:12 “There is a blessing on the man who undergoes testing; because, if he has God’s approval, he will be given the crown of life, which the Lord has said he will give to those who have love for him.”
