New ‘Smurfs’ Trailer Promises a Fun-Filled Adventure
The new trailer for the “Smurfs” film promises to be a fun-filled adventure. The beloved little blue critters are back for more fun as they make their return to the big screen. Watch the short but hysterical trailer to get a look at the Smurfs' latest movie.
Most people could easily name a handful of animated characters if asked to do so. The odds are also good that most of those cartoon characters will be associated with Disney in one way or another. That makes perfect sense. Disney films are the movies that many youngsters spend their childhood watching.
But in addition to names like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, others like Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck would also be frequently named. Included in that list of beloved animated characters would most certainly be the Smurfs. Those tiny, blue, odd, elfish-looking critters are also favorites of many. They must be. Why else would Hollywood continue to produce films about the little blue beings?
“Smurfs” is the latest in a long line of films about the blue-colored cartoon characters who closely resemble the Keebler elves and Snap, Crackle, Pop from the Rice Krispies cereal. In the trailer posted on YouTube, the evil Razamel unexpectedly kidnaps Papa Smurf. This, of course, sets the other Smurfs on an adventure to rescue the elderly member of their community.
However, this will not be just any rescue mission. The Smurfs must do the unthinkable: leave the friendly confines of their wooded village and cross over into the real, human-inhabited world.
The nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip shows that this will be a fun, laugh-filled, adventure-filled film for the entire family. The animated flick lands in theaters on July 18 and features the voices of Kurt Russell, John Goodman, Nick Offerman, Octavia Spencer and others.
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness, but of power and love and discipline.”
