Anne Wilson’s Soul-Stirring 'O Praise The Name (Anástasis)’ Performance

In this soul-stirring performance, Anne Wilson sings ‘O Praise The Name (Anástasis).’ Everyone needs to watch this moving performance.

Anne Wilson is an American Christian singer and songwriter. She hails from Lexington, Kentucky, and left her home to pursue her dream of being a singer. She wanted to pursue a career in Christian music after her brother, Jacob, passed away. Anne reported that she grew closer to God after her brother's passing, and she sang publicly for the first time at her brother’s funeral.

Grief and loss can truly bring us closer to God because they help us to see how much we need Him. Although the pain can be overwhelming at times, God’s loving hand is always over our lives. Similar to how God has been there for Anne and brought her closer to Him, He will do the same for us. Anne has not taken the events of her life lightly, as she has decided to follow God and dedicate her music to Him.

As a winner of the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year, Anne doesn’t look like she is slowing down anytime soon. In her performance of, ‘O Praise The Name (Anástasis),’ we hear the emotion in her voice. Her performance stirs our soul and brings it to a place of worship. Set upon a dimly lit room and a peaceful surrounding, Anne’s performance also brings calmness to our hectic days.

‘O praise the name of the Lord our God
O praise His name forever more
For endless days we will sing Your praise
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God’

With a heart of praise and worship, Anne beautifully sings these lyrics. In our own lives, we need to follow Anne’s example and take this song to heart. We need to always be lifting up the Name of the Lord our God in praise. For endless days, we can sing His praise. All glory, praise, and worship belongs to the Lord our God.

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’who was, and is, and is to come’” Revelation 4:8
