Animals are easily some of the best creatures that you will encounter during your time on Earth. They are loving, loyal and dependable to a fault. Those cute, furry, four-legged critters also make for some of the best friends you’ll ever hope to have. Can anyone honestly say, with a straight face, they don’t love and adore animals?

In addition to providing friendship, they are also good entertainment most of the time. While you can have a vague, general idea of how an animal might respond in a particular situation, you can never know for sure. You will not know with 100 percent certainty until they are placed in that scenario. A clip posted on YouTube captured a pup in an unfamiliar position, and the results are extraordinarily hilarious and adorable.

The video begins with a canine approaching a strange and unusual sight: two tiny kittens playing and running about. Text in the video makes it clear that this scene is entirely foreign to the dog. The dog quickly sniffs the kittens and backs away, trying to size up and take in these strange new creatures.

After the dog believes it’s a safe distance from these odd beings, the kittens spot the dog and, being fearless (or really, not knowing any better), approach the canine. However, the dog is not having it. Each time one of the kittens gets a little too close, the dog hops backward, desperately trying to keep distance between itself and the odd creatures before it.
