Chihuahua Adopts Lizard as Its Own and Becomes Its Fierce Protector

A chihuahua adopted a lizard as its own and has become its fierce and determined protector. The dog immediately took to the reptile and made moves to make sure no one harmed the scaly creature. Watch the short but adorable clip to learn about the dog and the lizard’s sweet, unbreakable bond.

We all need friends and people who will look out for us. No one is meant to live life alone. Human beings were created for relationships and to interact with one another. How boring and miserable would it be to go through this life with no one and not have a friend in the world? Yes, some people are naturally more introverted, but even those individuals still need people.

As it turns out, animals are a lot like humans in this respect. How many stories have you seen about animals interacting with or becoming unlikely friends with one another? They seem to gravitate toward each other naturally. They desire friendship and companionship as well. A clip posted on YouTube proves how most animals also want friendships, and how the desire and need for togetherness can often lead to some odd and unusual pairings.

In the video, a chihuahua, Jessie, is introduced to a lizard, Reptoria, and the two quickly become bonded. Jessie becomes the scaly, slithery creature’s protector, standing over the lizard and giving anyone who comes near the reptile a scary, menacing look. The small canine is also not beyond growling, lounging and barking at someone she deems a possible threat to the lizard.

Those two unlikely pals are the best of friends. The video shows that wherever one goes, the other is not far behind. Their relationship is so surprising yet so incredibly sweet. Who would have ever thought a dog and a lizard would become inseparable?

Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
