Home Free Wows with Live A Cappella of ‘Something to Talk About’

Check out the a cappella group Home Free perform a stunning rendition of the song  'Something to Talk About' by Bonnie Raitt. The members of this group sound incredible together, and the audience is loving their performance of this song. It is amazing to think about how the full sound that you hear from Home Free is coming from just one instrument – their voices!

‘People are talking, talkin' 'bout people
I hear them whisper you won't believe it
They think we're lovers kept undercover
I'll just ignore it, but they keep sayin' we’

In the video, Home Free is performing ‘Something to Talk About’ at the 25th Anniversary Party at City Winery Nashville on Sunday, June 8th, 2025. “We want to sing a song now that we’ve never actually done in our show,” says one of the members before the song starts. “This is the first song we ever recorded with Adam Bastien.”

The a cappella group Home Free consists of five vocalists: Adam Bell-Bastien, Adam Chance, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, and Tim Foust. In 2013, the group won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC. Adam Bell-Bastien is the newest member of the group, and many people online shared how they love seeing him in the mix now.

“Awesome, Adam B is a great addition to Home Free,” writes one person online after watching the video. “They are the best all vocal band out there. Love them.”

When it comes to ‘Something to Talk About,’ this song was one of Bonnie Raitt’s biggest hits. The song was written by Canadian singer-songwriter Shirley Eikhard and recorded by Bonnie Raitt in 1991 for her album Luck of the Draw. The song became popular on multiple radio formats and peaked at number five on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, number 12 on the Album Rock Tracks chart, and number five on the Hot 100.

We hope you enjoyed watching this fun performance from Home Free today!
