You’ll Never Hear the Imperial March the Same Way After This Rubber Chicken Cover

You’ll never hear the Imperial March the same way after this rubber chicken cover. When it comes to unique and unexpected covers, this one may take the top spot. Watch the short but hysterical and jaw-dropping clip to hear this familiar and iconic tune performed in a way that you have never heard before.

Musical covers are here to stay. Thanks in large part to YouTube and shows like America’s Got Talent, The Voice and American Idol, covers have experienced a massive resurgence as of late. Those who are not fans of covers will be sorely disappointed, as they are literally everywhere. Even some of the most respected and well-known musicians and bands occasionally perform covers.

While most people do not have a problem with covers, I think I speak for the majority when I say that we want them to be original in some way. Don’t simply give us a duplicate, a carbon copy of the original. If that’s the case, we’ll listen to the original. Instead, change things up a little, make the song your own and show a bit of creativity and originality.

For those who prefer their covers to be completely original and unique, this clip posted on YouTube has got you covered. A musician, dressed as the dreaded “Star Wars" villain Darth Vader, plays the Imperial March not with actual musical instruments, but with a collection of rubber chickens.

Yes, you read that correctly. Your eyes are not deceiving you. This man, instead of using actual instruments, opted for squeaky chickens. And surprisingly, it does not sound half bad.

Who would have ever thought that one of the most recognizable tunes of all time would sound great if it were played with rubber chickens? I’m guessing the answer is most of the population. Either way, I’m sure you’ll want to watch this crazy cover performance multiple times.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
