Everyone enjoys eating, and we all have our favorite spots to grab a delicious, mouth-watering meal. The only thing that can make such an outing even better is having the people we love most with us while scarfing down that dish. What could be better than that? The short and correct answer, of course, is nothing.

However, while we do love going out to eat with family and friends, things can and do go wrong. Likely, we could all share personal horror stories of instances in which the dining experience was less than optimal. Maybe it was that the restaurant got your order wrong, the food was cold or something else entirely. Of course, the point is that a lot can go wrong, resulting in a bad experience that is so awful it remains with you for a while.

Nate knows all too well about horrible dining experiences. In a clip posted on YouTube, he shared how his waitress took his family’s orders and then disappeared. He mentioned that she actually quit her job right after taking their orders, leaving Nate and his family waiting on and wondering about their food.

“We had a waitress quit on us once,” Nate said. “She just quit. She took our order and left. And she was very nice, we didn’t know she was going to quit. And was like, ‘Oh, that’s a good choice.’ She wrote everything down and then walked to her car and drove to her house.”

Nate explains that, at the time, he and his family were unaware that she had quit, so they remained at their table, waiting and hoping that their food would arrive eventually.

“I think about her every day,” he added. “What happened? Where did you go? Does she think about us? Did we eat? Are we still there?”
