Anjelah Johnson-Reyes Baffled by Her Friend’s Way of Handling Marital Spats

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes is baffled by her friend’s way of handling marital spats. The popular comedian couldn't believe what happened when her buddy and that friend’s husband disagreed on something. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear how Anjelah’s pal dealt with a momentary dispute and how Anjelah would have gone about dealing with a similar situation.

Marriage is a terrific, wonderful thing. It’s a sacred institution that God implemented. Is there anything more beautiful than attending a wedding and watching as two people vow, in front of their friends, family and God, that they will remain with one another regardless of what life may throw at them. Attendees get to see a family created right before their eyes.

However, as great as marriage is, it’s also not always easy. In fact, it can be quite challenging, but anything worthwhile in life does require work and sacrifice. Because marriage involves two flawed individuals with differing thoughts and opinions, disagreements and arguments are inevitable. At that point, how those disagreements are handled is of paramount importance.
They can be either escalate and become much worse or handled with love and grace, making it much more likely to come to an agreed-upon solution.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anjelah admitted that she was left bewildered and blown away by how her married female friend handled a disagreement with her husband. It was like nothing she had ever seen or heard.

“I wish I could be more like my friend, Maya,” she said. She’s so calm, cool and collected all the time. One day, I asked her, I was like, ‘Girl, do you ever get in an argument with your husband?’ She was like, ‘Yes.’”

Later in the clip, Anjelah adds that her friend told her about a specific disagreement and how they handled it. They dealt with it by each person mentioning how the other’s words and actions made them feel, and ended quickly with an apology.

Anjelah confesses that if it had been her argument, she would have probably taken a different tactic.

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”
