Comedian on How New York City Mice Are a Different Breed
A comedian explained how New York City mice are of a totally different breed. These mice are unlike any other you’ve ever encountered in your life. Watch the short but hysterical clip of her funnyman, Derrick Stroup, hilariously share how these rodents are unlike any he’s ever come across.
New York City has been called the heart of civilization. It’s home to Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Madison Square Garden and the New York Stock Exchange. Also, when it comes to food, the Big Apple does not disappoint either. It has just about every kind of cuisine you can think of and then some.
Naturally, New York City is also home to New Yorkers. Now, New Yorkers, and really Northeasterners as a whole, are known to be loud, aggressive and a little pushy at times. Perhaps it’s because they have to ride a crowded subway and hike dozens of city blocks to reach their destination. They are so focused on where they are going, on their destination, that they have no time to exchange pleasantries or even an acknowledging glance.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Derrick explains that the city’s rats have even begun to take on the persona of a stereotypical New Yorker. They are loud, pushy, and refuse to budge, even when someone tries to force them out of their apartment. Instead, they dig in their heels and become more determined and entrenched in the apartment they currently inhabit. They are not willing to give an inch, and, as Derrick explains, will even fight when a rat trap is used in an attempt to force them to exit the premises.
“No, New York City mice are different,” he said. “I got everything blocked off in my apartment. We’ve looked everywhere. We’re pretty sure they’re coming through the front door.”
Later in the clip, Derrick, who grew up in the country, is familiar with mice, having encountered them before. However, as he states, mice in New York City are a very different breed. They will not go down without a fight.
Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
