The Hilarious Reason Why This Comedian Says to Marry Someone From Kansas

This comedian has a hilarious reason why he says to consider marrying someone from Kansas. The surprising and unexpected reason why he believes Kansas is the best state to select a spouse from will have you rolling with laughter. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear why those who are single might want to look into Kansas.

Marriage is a big, life-changing commitment. It’s not something to be entered into lightly, that is for sure. It’s a vow, a lifelong promise to remain with someone, regardless of what life may throw at you. As the officiant of the ceremony often says, only death can and should separate those two individuals.

However, before standing at the altar and reciting those vows, it’s important to make sure it’s the right person. While it’s impossible to predict the future, getting to know that person as much as possible before popping the question is a good idea. Again, marriage is not something to be entered into lightly or without much prayer and consideration.

However, in a clip posted on YouTube, comedian Derrick Stroup offers some helpful advice for those who are single and are seeking a spouse. He suggests investigating a specific area, one of the country’s 50 states, for a possible spouse, and his reasoning could not be more surprising and hilarious.

“Everybody should get a partner from Kansas,” he said. “Yeah, no. They’re very easy to impress. She’s from a town of 88 people. I show her a five-story building, she’s like, ‘How’d they get up there, you know?’ I’m like, ‘Elevators, baby. I’m going to show you the world.”

Later in the clip, he mentioned that he took his better half to New York City. It was her first time in the Big Apple, and she made a hilarious, but understandable mistake, especially if you’ve never been to such a big city before.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
