This little one’s adorable struggle to stay awake is pure gold. The youngster was desperately fighting sleep with everything it had, and refused to give in, making for a display that is almost too cute. As all parents know, children need periodic naps throughout the day. They use a lot of energy running around doing this and that, wearing out Mom and Dad, who desperately try to keep up with their little one. Also, sleep is crucial for a child’s growth, which, parents also know, children tend to do rather quickly.

So, while children need a fair amount of sleep, especially during the first couple of years of their lives, they rarely, if ever, want to lie down for a nap. Many children will fight Mom and Dad tooth and nail as they are being put down for a nap. Now, that is a situation that makes no sense to anyone. The majority of the population would love it if someone told them to go to sleep for a couple of hours. Who wouldn’t want that?

Anyway, children typically don't want to take a nap, even if it’s clear they could use one. They can be extremely hard-headed and definite in this particular instance. This hysterical video shows a little one enjoying some time in a jumper. She seems to be having the time of her life, jumping around and enjoying some alone time.

However, out of nowhere, she gets tired. But she refuses to give in and stop playing. She wants to continue jumping and will not let sleep get in the way. The child and sleep go back and forth. 

This ends up being quite a battle, and it’s unclear who wins, but I think everyone can pretty much guess who will eventually come out on top here.
