Being known as a liar is not something anyone should aspire to. It’s a stain on one’s reputation that is hard to remove. We want to be around people we can trust, people who will tell us the truth, regardless of the consequences or outcome. No one appreciates liars, except maybe the voters, who, for whatever reason, seem to elect them in droves every election season.

Bearing false witness, lying to and about one another, as you and I know, is breaking one of the Lord’s 10 Commandments. So, it’s pretty clear that an untruthful mouth and lying lips are detestable in God’s eyes. Those who lie with regularity, as you have probably discovered, are not to be trusted. So, that must be why people send them all to one of the worst places on earth: Washington, D.C. - a town built and run by people who have mastered the act of being less than truthful.

In a clip, a young woman has her truthfulness called into question, and for good measure. She enters the room, holding a cake while singing "Happy Birthday." Now, at first glance, it’s clear that someone has already gotten into the delicious, sweet treat. Also, if you look at the little girl’s face, you’ll quickly surmise who it might have been. On her face is what appears to be icing.

This is an open-and-shut case. It has been solved. Well, not quite so fast. When asked about it, she contends that it was not her. Eventually, though, she does admit that what is on her face is, in fact, chocolate.
