Jaye King Talks Faith, Funk and Finding God in Life’s Hard Places

Centricity Music’s newest artist Jaye King sits down with Brandon Woolum for a powerful conversation about his journey, faith, and brand-new music.

Originally from Bradenton, Florida, Jaye shares how growing up in a single-parent home, discovering music in church, and finding his identity in Christ shaped both his life and his sound. Now based in the Nashville area, the multi-instrumentalist blends funk, R&B, pop, and Gospel influences to create music that tells honest stories of redemption.

In this interview, Jaye talks about his debut single “Hard Place,” the message behind “Falling Into It,” and why he believes God often meets us in the messiest moments of life. He also reflects on touring with artists like Tasha Layton and Jonathan Traylor, and how those experiences helped prepare him for this next season of his career.
