Grandfather Taken Aback by Grandson’s Sweet and Unexpected Gesture

A grandfather was taken aback by his grandson’s sweet and unexpected gesture. The elderly man was so moved and touched by the child’s move that he was unable to speak. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see what the child did and how the grandfather reacted.

We’ve likely all been blessed with special people in our lives. These extraordinary individuals are people who can be counted on in any and every situation. They will be with us through everything that life may throw at us – bad or good. They often serve as a shoulder to cry on and offer uplifting words of wisdom and encouragement when needed.

Where would we be without these people? Whether they come in the form of a parent, a spouse, a neighbor or a grandparent, they are truly a blessing in our lives. Sometimes, we want to repay these exceptional individuals for what they do for us and show them how much they mean to us.  A clip posted on YouTube captured one of these special moments.

The short clip begins with a young man wearing a baseball uniform approaching an elderly man. We soon learn that the young baseball player is talking to and walking toward his grandfather. He also keeps his arms behind his back, holding what appears to be a baseball in his right hand.

The youngster then starts explaining what had just happened at his baseball game. He threw quite a game, telling his grandfather that he actually struck out 12 opposing players. For his outstanding performance, the young man was awarded the game ball.

However, the little guy had other plans for the ball.

“I got the game ball, and I wanted to give it to you,” the child says as he hands the ball to his grandfather.

Following his grandson’s sweet and loving gesture, the grandfather is left unable to speak. All he can do is hug him, but sometimes, that’s all you need.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”
