This Couple’s Visit to the Public Library with Their Kids Is Comedy Gold

This couple’s visit to the public library with their kids is comedy gold. The husband and wife recall a visit to the library that resulted in quite a scene, thanks to one of their children. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear what happened during one family’s visit to their local library.

Who doesn’t love libraries? It’s a place where you can pick up a book on literally anything. Want to learn more about planes? Perhaps you want to learn more about WWII and its impact on today's world. Or maybe you’re more of a fiction reader and want to grab the latest Grisham novel. You can pick up books on those subjects and much, much more at your local libraries. There is literally something for everyone at the library, and if you aren’t satisfied with what you find, you aren’t looking hard enough.

Libraries often offer free programs for all age levels in addition to books. Going to the library always makes for a fun outing and can be something the entire family does together. As a couple in a clip posted on YouTube points out, one family was taking advantage of the offerings at their library when things went horribly and hilariously wrong.

At the beginning of the clip, the woman explains why she will now discourage her and her husband’s children from reading. The move comes about because, as she puts it, “we made the unfortunate decision to go to the public library because our children wanted some new books.”

Everything was fine during their brief visit to the library. Their children were happy, silently looking through books, when it suddenly changed. The husband broke their only rule, “which is to not mention that you have to go to the bathroom in front of our 2-year-old.”

The husband said he had silently whispered that he had to go to the restroom. That whisper was too loud for the little one because she heard and started shouting a hilarious and unexpected phrase throughout the library for all to hear.

When you have children, nothing is ever as simple as it should be or as you hoped.

Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it.”
