Man Shares Powerful Illustration of God’s Love Using His Own Son

One man shared a powerful illustration of God’s love using his son. His perfect example accurately describes God’s never-ending, unconditional love for humanity. Watch the short but powerful clip to see and hear his example, which helps to put God’s love for us into perspective.

The human brain is limited. Even the most intelligent person alive, the individual with the highest IQ, will not come close to understanding God's ways. Our minds cannot grasp and comprehend many concepts and aspects of God.

One of the things that is especially hard to understand about God is the depth, magnitude and never-ending nature of His love for all humanity. Most people likely cannot imagine loving every single person on Earth. Yes, there are people we love, but there are also those we really don’t. While we don’t hate them, we aren’t going to go out of our way to offer them any assistance. We merely tolerate them when we must.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one man beautifully explains and illustrates God’s love and uses his son and his relationship to him as an example. Much like a father’s love for his son, God’s love for us was not earned, and there is nothing we could have done to earn it. He gives it because that is who He is; we are his children.

“This boy didn’t work to be my son,” he said. “He didn’t deserve it. He still can’t speak, and then you saw the noises he was making. He was my son because we wanted him to be here. When you’re a child of God, you’re a child of God because of God’s grace and God’s love for you. You didn’t earn it, deserve it and you couldn’t ever pay for it.”

Later in the clip, the man mentions what those who fast will learn and discover in the process.

“When we fast, we don’t make him our Father,” he said. “Fasting doesn’t make him your father. Fasting makes you aware of the love and the care that He has. Because sometimes we’re just distracted, and He helps us to slow everything down so that we become near to Him, so we can hear Him and be aware of Him.”

Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.”
