We all love our routines and habits. They are safe, comforting and familiar. They make us feel as if we have control over our day. Everybody has habits and routines, even if they aren’t aware of them.

Humans are, without a doubt, creatures of habit. When even the smallest habit or routine isn’t completed correctly at the right time, it can throw our entire day off, leaving us feeling all out of sorts. As anyone who has ever had a pet knows, animals are also very much creatures of habit and routine. A clip posted on social media shows what happens when a cat has its routine altered slightly.

The short, 10-second video shows a man, a plumber, diligently working on something in the corner of a kitchen. It’s unclear what exactly he’s attempting to do, but his presence in that specific area has upset at least one household member. Inches behind the plumber sits a cat who stares at the plumber while loudly voicing its complaints.

The cat continually and hilariously meows. As the video’s description indicates, the feline is more than a little perturbed that the plumber is working around its cupboard. Perhaps the cat likes to crawl up into the cupboard or something, and now, since the man is there, it’s unable to do so. Whatever the case, the cat’s routine has been thrown off, and it’s not pleased!
