These dogs thought they heard something wonderful, but reality hit hard. The two canines believed they were about to experience something truly magical, but hilariously, their hopes and dreams were instantly shattered. Anyone who has ever had a pet soon realizes a few things about them. Nearly all pets love attention. Cats and dogs love a nice scratch and rub on the head, back and even their bellies. Also, they would prefer if the petting never ended. Seriously, you could pet an animal for eight hours; for most of them, that still would not be enough time. They would simply follow you, brush up against your leg and try to get you to start again.

Another thing pet owners will quickly notice is that dogs and cats have excellent hearing. Those animals will stand at attention, with their ears perked up whenever these sounds occur. To them, the different noises likely indicate possible danger, time for a walk or they are about to receive a delicious treat. A clip posted on YouTube shows how animals react when they hear a sound that often means good things are coming their way.

In the video, two canines are having the time of their lives playing on a bed when they suddenly hear a familiar sound. It’s that of someone pulling and tearing a plastic wrapper. Of course, both dogs instantly believe a treat is in their near future. So, believing this to be the case, they go hunting for the source of the noise.

The two dogs search throughout the house for that noise. What could it be? Sadly, they come up empty everywhere they go, but continue to hear the noise. So, they carry on, determined to find the source of the sound and the treat that is likely to come with it.

Eventually, their exhaustive search ends. Unfortunately, both dogs are left incredibly disappointed when they see the reason for the noise.
