Comedian’s Outlook on Worry Will Have You Laughing and Nodding Along
One comedian’s outlook on worry will have you laughing and nodding along. The funnyman shared some knowledge and insight from his grandmother, who told him there are only two things to worry about in life. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear about the two things that should concern everyone.
As you’ve probably already discovered, life is a series of unpredictable events. While many people would like to think they have much control over what happens to them, that is not the case. Yes, we possess freewill, and our decisions and choices will dictate our course in life, but many other situations and circumstances are entirely out of our control.
That lack of control will and does scare many people. They will then start thinking and obsessing over situations they have little to no control over, adding unnecessary stress and worry to their lives. However, one comedian, Mike Goodwin, says only two things in life should cause us to worry.
In the video posted on YouTube, Mike explains that his grandmother told him, “There are only two things in life that you worry about: whether you’re healthy or whether you’re sick.”
That seems simple enough. Well, his grandmother’s position on worry may not be as easy as it first appears.
“If you’re healthy, you ain’t got nothing to worry about,” Mike adds. “But if you’re sick, you got two things to worry about: Whether you’re going to get better, whether you’re going to get worse.”
Hilariously, as Mike continues, he says that the person who gets healthy has nothing to stress about, but the individual who remains sick has two things that ought to cause them concern. They must be worried whether they are going to pull through or pass away.
And at that point, you guessed it, they still have two things to worry about: where they will be spending eternity.
Hilariously, as Mike stated at the beginning of the clip, only two things should worry us.
Philippians 4:6 “In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
