No one wants to live in a messy, filthy house. As such, most people would rather not have others think that they live in a pigsty. That would be completely and utterly embarrassing. That less-than-perfect housekeeping style doesn’t show much respect for either the people living there or those visiting.

Nevertheless, life, as everyone is well aware, tends to get in the way at times. This can lead to household chores like mopping the floors, vacuuming and taking out the trash being pushed to the back burner. That is totally understandable, and it happens to all of us at some point. There are undoubtedly many more important things than making sure the trash can is empty and ready for use.

However, people lose this perspective whenever company is expected. Typically, people go on a cleaning sprint, quickly doing this and that. In a clip posted on YouTube, a mother is expecting company at any moment, but there is still so much cleaning yet to do. As she moves around the house, checking on the status of everything, she barks out orders, telling immediate family members to do this and that in the most hilarious way possible.

“Somebody light a candle, we got to make it smell like we got money,” she says.

“Hide all the mail that says, ‘Urgent’ or ‘Final notice,’” she added.

“Hey, turn it on the Food Network so it looks like we cook,” she says.

“Help me wipe down the baseboards so people think we care about the baseboards,” the woman commands.

These are just a few of the hysterical things she instructs as she hopes to make a good impression on her visitors.
