As all parents understand all too well, children remain little for only a short period of time. Parents better cherish and treasure those childhood years because before you know it, they’ll be gone, and you’ll be longing for those moments. Time stops for no one, and that includes those who have small children.

Blink, and those little children are no longer little or children. Soon enough, they are angsty and moody teenagers who want nothing to do with Mom and Dad as they try to assert their independence and find themselves. Close and open your eyes again; they are graduating from high school and heading off to college. Of course, the point is to spend as much time as possible with your little ones. It doesn’t matter what the activity is as long as it’s done together.

In a clip posted on social media, a father and his little girl found a unique way to spend time together: they went horseback riding. Instead of heading out to a ranch or a nearby farm, this horseback riding was completely virtual but was just as fun.

A video of a horse galloping through a field was played on TV as Dad served as the horse with the little girl sitting atop of her father’s shoulders. Watching the video, Dad stayed in lockstep with the horse on the screen, moving about, giving the child a similar experience as if she were actually on top of the animal.

Sure, it may not have been the conventional type of horseback riding most people envision, but the way they did it was special, nonetheless. It’s likely to be a ride, a memory that both of them will cherish and look back fondly upon for a long time.
