Anjelah Johnson-Reyes Hilariously Shares Her Dad's Rambling Answers to Simple Questions

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes hilariously shared her dad's long, rambling answers to simple, straightforward questions. The popular comedian often just wants a quick answer, but her father can and frequently does give her much more than that. Watch the short but hilarious clip to hear her give an example of what she can ask her father and his laugh-out-loud, long-winded response.

It's important to visit and talk with people, especially with those we haven't seen in a while. It's a simple act of kindness that shows people that we care about them and what is going on in their lives. Not only that, who doesn't want to spend time catching up and letting others know what is going on in their life?

However, when it comes to some people, one question can turn into a 20, 30 or even an hour-long conversation. And during that time, you may not even get a word into the conversation. With people like that, it quickly goes from a conversation to a monologue, where they tell you their thoughts and opinions on things you never asked about or wanted to know. We all know people like this, and if you don't, it's likely that you're that person.

In a YouTube clip, Anjelah mentioned that she can ask her father an easy, very simple question. All that is necessary to answer her inquiry is one or two words from her dad, but that is not what she ever receives. Instead, what she gets is her father's thoughts and opinions on his workplace and coworkers. And he may or may not answer her initial question.

"I can ask my dad a very simple question, 'Hey Dad, are you coming to visit me this weekend or next weekend?' she said. "His answer should sound something like, 'This weekend'…or 'Next weekend.' No, not my dad. You ask my dad that question, and this is the answer you're going to get."

Anjelah provides a hilarious example of the type of long-winded, rambling answers her dear old dad gives her when all she wants and needs is a little bit of information.

Job 8:21 "The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips."
