As children grow and learn, they go through several phases and hit many milestones. One of the biggest and earliest ones is when the little one learns to crawl and eventually sit up all by themselves. There is the one where they slowly start moving away from baby food and start ingesting solid food. Of course, they also begin walking and getting into anything and everything.

At some point during their development, children will start talking, usually saying “momma” or “dadda” first, as they slowly begin expanding their vocabulary. However, many young children reach a definite stage during this speech development process. They all seem to get obsessed with the word “no,” answering in the negative for every possible question or suggestion thrown at them. In a clip posted on YouTube, one young woman turned that word into an entire song.

The child’s musical number begins after the woman behind the camera asks her to sing “The ABC song.” The woman tries again, asking, “Will you sing it for momma?” The child does not want to fulfill this request and makes this entirely clear, answering “no” repeatedly and without hesitation.

Eventually, the child turns her answer into a song as she repeats it constantly. She says no over and over, but does so in a very sing-songy way, and you have to admit, even though there is only one lyric, it is still somewhat catchy.

The little girl even throws in a bit of a dance, much to the delight of her mother behind the camera, who can be heard laughing hysterically.
