One comedian’s hilarious take on online dating will have you cracking up. He mentions how some ways to meet people are not made or even right for a large segment of the population. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear the funnyman talk about the problems and drawbacks of online dating.

No one wants to spend their life alone. We aren’t made to go through this existence by ourselves. We were designed for relationships and connections with other human beings. How boring and miserable would it be to go through this life completely alone? As the popular song from Three Dog Night says, “one is the loneliest number.”

So, because we don’t want to spend our existence on this Earth alone, we go through the process of finding someone. However, dating is much easier said than done. Someone who doesn’t have much success can easily get discouraged, wondering whether they will ever find the one. Well, thanks to technological advancements, meeting people has become much easier than it was previously. But not all those options are for everyone, according to one comedian.

In the video, Joe Devito mentions that he has attempted online dating and admits that it is not intended for him or anyone his age or older.

“I tried using the dating technology,” he said. “Again, it’s not for people my age. It’s for millennials and so forth. And I laugh when people say, ‘Well, you know, there are options for middle-aged people who want to meet online.’  Oh, OK, I’ve seen the commercials for “Our Time.” That’s what they call it. It’s the dating site for people over 50. ‘It’s Our Time.’ No, our time was 1998. This is not our, this is overtime.”

He then goes on to hilariously comment on how online dating profiles make it easy to try to deceive others.

“And as far as these profiles go, we need to pass some legislation about these pictures,” he said. “OK, some kind of time-date stamping. Write your congressman, because this is supposed to be a recent picture; I see the Hindenburg explosion in the background.”
